Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

I found a good deal on a removable hardtop for the '69. Problem is it's missing the rear window. Corvette America lists one, but they're discontinued (some luck, eh). If anyone can help I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks,

Matt

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.

Matt,

You would probnably be ahead of the game to pass on the hardtop that you would need a window for. Parts for the 68 to 75 hardtops are extremely expensive. I found 2 pieces of stainless trim for my 72 in Texas and they were asking $425 for the front and $275 for the side piece. Vettes.com has a window but they're asking $558 for it.

If you will keep checking eBay, you can usually find a hardtop in good to excellent condition from $800 to $1000. I have the original vinyl hardtop for my car but it's so much trouble to take on and off that it just sits on a stand in the garage. Good Luck in your search.

Try Pilkingtons Classics.   They make dated windshields and have the LOF (Libby-Owens-Ford) patents.  They are out of Rossford, Ohio.  Their number is 800-848-1351.

Not positive they have the hardtop glass, but this is the best place to get a proper windshield.  They are reasonable.

Thanks guys. I found one at Majestic Corvette for $250. But then I found out that the top is also missing the chrome trim around the window, so I think I'll pass on it, like the old saying says, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. I can probably find one at Bloomington Gold in June.

Thanks,

Matt
