Vette(s): 1978 vette with an 80-82 stlye rear end molded in. BW six speed & an L82... for now. Lowered with VBP springs and bilsteins. Polished torq thrust wheels. New paint, audio system, aluminum radiator... Flowmaster and extreme flow exhaust components.
I have a clutch cross shaft (or a z-bar) that I took off of a '70 vette. It is in very good condition with no rust, any rust that it had I removed chemically months ago. It should fit any 63-81, 82? corvette. I also have a brand new bracket for the clutch cross shaft for an 80 or 81, the reason that I bought the bracket for an 80,81 instead of the earlier type is that it is a bolt on bracket instead of a weld on bracket. Also I can't find the earlier type of bracket. I've been told that it is the same thing, it should be as it works with the same cross shaft on the same frame and I always prefer bolting to welding. I also have a used bellhhousing off of a big block chevy. It should work with any big or small block chevy and muncie bolt style transmission. It is for an 11 or 12 inch clutch, can't remember but I know it was at least 11. There is nothing wrong with these parts. I decided to go with a hydraulic clutch system to convert my automatic so I never got a chance to use these. E-mail me if you're interested. -Adam torqvette@yahoo.com P.S. I don't exactly how much any of this stuff, or the stuff in my other posts is worth so make me a fair offer and I won't refuse.
