Go on E-Bay. Plug in 1980 or whatever year corvette you need a radio for. There are radios GM Delco on there now. You may have to wait for a good one, but an e-bayer with the name: Mowhitetailhunter, always has something on there. I purchased a (like brand new),
AMFM stereo radio for my 79 from him, and it looks and plays like it just came from the GM parts plant. New condition, plus it puts this Vette back to original status.
If an aftemarket radio is in there now, and the original plugs gone, you will need them for power, power antenna and speakers front and back. Expect to pay around
$65 to %75.00 for the radio and shipping. |saluteflag| |cool| |saluteflag|

On the Shopping tab there is a link to eBay C3 Auctions. Click on it and then in the C3 Auction Categories box on the left side of the page click on the Electrical category. You may have to scroll down a little bit to find the C3 Radio link which will take you into eBay Land. In the search criteria you will see dates for all the C3 years, just delete the ones you're not interested in and click the 'Search' button to narrow the search down some.

Vette(s): '81 custom Silva/Motion Mako Shark '86 Mallett Motorsports daily driver
Back when I had my first 81 it had the digital cassette CB stereo, I really thought it was the coolest,
When I started my 81 Mako custom project I just had to have one of those units again I had no idea how hard it was to find one much less a fully working one,
but after getting ripped on two others I found one that is very close to new looking and working, I plugged it into the car and fully tested it, boxed it up and put it in a bookcase in my smoke free home,
With customs tastes change and I doubt I will use this unit but it's not a cheap item, however I would let it go for what I paid plus shipping,
Keep in mind this is the digital cassette with CB and of course clock which gave the cars it came in the oil temp gauge in the dash.....you would also need the special CB/AM/FM antenna which I don't have.
If any one has interest please contact me direct at tyladamour@aol.com
Cheers,
P.

Vette(s): 1981 ST. LOUIS, 05/81; All options except 4-sp and CB, added GM sway bar, 6-way pass seat and Tilt-Front end
Just so you know, these fadios were also used in the K5 (big) Blazers, 1985 or so. Face, and connections are exact. I switched my 8track to a cassette. Now I am more modern, and have the right radio. Knobs are different but my stock ones went right on. |hammer|
