I'm wanting set set of these aftermarket fiberglass side pipe covers I have no idea what company made them, they have that 70's custom look I dig and were made to fit over the Hooker and no longer made Eagle 4 into 1 side pipes.
Many Thanks,
T.

Needless to say the fuction of this item can't be beat some folks wouldn't like them for the reason I love them,
They have that overdone 70's custom look to me,
A friend found those at that big vette meet, I just wonder and hope they are not one-offs,
The AC Cobra kit cars have pipes like the hookers and I have seen a few with a metal shields where the door is to prevent leg burns, very race looking but I just dig these fiberglass ones.
Cheers, T.

Vette(s): 92 coupe, full minor custom, in & out
make your own covers to prevent the BURNS.
It's called "expanded metal". home depot or a big hardware store will have flat thin metal in various lengths with holes in it. various patturns and sizes of holes. measure the width and length you need, from the trim plate below the door to around the bottom of the pipe with a 1/2 inch air space between the pipe and sheet. buy the width and the length you need.
remove the pipe. fasten the sheet to the frame with a few sheet metal screws. the sheet should be in an upward direction now, because you screwed into the underside of it. put the pipe on. carefully bend the sheet over the pipe until it reaches the point you want. don't forget the air space. bolt on some home made brackets in three places and bolt the brackets to the frame.
no more burned leggs. cost, about $25.00 and 1/2 days work if your slow and have rust.
