Vette(s): 1970 COUPE - LS5 454 - AUTO - A/C,PS,PB,TILT. WHITE WITH RED INT. PRISTINE - LIKE THE DAY IT WAS BORN. (Previously owned a White '76. Sold it in 2000.)
I bumped into an old friend who told me that she is selling her '81 coupe. I think she bought it new, I know she's owned it for a long time. She said the only thing it needs is weather stripping for the T-tops. It's black/black. She wants $4,000.00 Can anyone who owns a similar vette let me know if it is worth taking a look at.
Thanks,
Kevin

I got my 80 for that price , and it needed alot more than weather stripping ! You could part it out and get your money back , and then some .
It doesn't cost anything to look, who knows for $4000,you might get lucky,I'm sure it needs more than t-top seals. You didn't do this girl wrong way back when and it's payback time or something did you?
If its in decent shape you could fix it up and at least double the price. Ron 78

4k sounds like a good deal to me.

$4000 is always worth looking at, just have the will power to turn away if its not what your really looking for. This is how I ended up with my 68 looking for an engine for my 71

81 prices are all over the map down here in Florida. 4K is rock bottom for a driver. Most average 6K to 8K for a decent one.
Have seen a few low mileage, super nice ones go over 10K. My son picked his up at $4,500. It mostly needed paint but about 2K worth of parts made it straight!
It is getting new paint and going on the market and he wants 8K at least!
4K for an 81 is worth a look at least down here

If you don't want it - I DO!!!! If it is a decent car it is well worth it. I would love to buy it if you are not interested.
