"Hunt", I realize that this particular car doesn't fit your criteria, but I came
across this recent posting and I thought that it might be somewhat useful
to you to know about, if only as a reference point in terms of dealer
pricing for a low-mileage, apparently well-maintained Pace Car.

It's located in the Bay Area (San Francisco region, in other words). 22K
miles. And the dealer is asking $24,995 for it. If you'd like to look at it,
there's plenty of pictures. Go to craigslist (I think the 'East Bay' section?,
but I don't recall exactly) and search for "Corvette". It just popped up
yesterday, so you should be able to spot it pretty quickly.

I was going to say, I paid less then that for my Pace Car and it need no restoration at 92k.

hunt, keep your eyes on eBay, you'd be susprised the amount of Pace Cars on there

Yeah...and I see you can even pick up Pace Car clones and your choice of years 78 or 79.
