what can i say a lot has happen shortly and with a trip to the docotor today and another shot into my spine and the fact that it is getting to be to much of a task to use a clutch after many tears and many ways of trying to figure out a way and a logical reason to keep this baby only to hardly ever drive it is just to heart breaking the ol girl needs an owner that with drive her and pamper her.
What i know is that it is a numbers matching convertible, with to the best of my knowledge has orginal interior, any pieces that came off the engine are here and go with the car, i have also collected a few things alot the way that are geared towards the LT-1 all of that with be included as well. have a book that came with the car which has names. regisrtration, notes, even contact info, although do not know how acturate it is now.
Since i have owned it it has had a new clutch, master cylinder, i have a new 5 port washer not installed,
A few things things that need attention, buzzer comes on with door opens with ir with out key in car. driver window is low at times keep up.
From what i can tell this is a high optioned vette.
It pains me to sell it but we have to do what is best for our families and lives at any given moment, i know you all under stand this, i would hope and i think i know the answer, that i would still be welcomed here, and also at the members meeting, even if i have no vette at this time.
price i have no clue, looking around the 40 mark

Say it ain't so, Larry?!?
Sorry to hear you have to make this decision....but you gotta do what ya gotta do, and we all unnerstand that...
What if you swapped the trans for an automatic? Would that make a difference?
I hope if ya do sell, it goes to someone that'll give it as much love and care as you have.
Good Luck with it, AND your medical issues. You KNOW you'll always be welcome here, or ANYWHERE C3VR is...

thanks joel i have thought about the tranny switch which would help with the leg and hip issue but not sure what it would do for the back, after an half hour to and hour i can barely stand it, and the back isn't bad enough for surgery, yet, well it just sucks being old and broken.
I am very sorry you have to sell such a beautiful car. $40K is a great price for it, I would not haggle if I were you. 70 LT1 verts are few and far between. Good luck!
(Now if I whine loud enough).......................

Larry,
Sorry to hear about your problems. Personally I would start higher than 40k, LT1 verts are very desirable with not many made. Just my 2 cents.

Larry,
Hay man, sorry for all the new-old problems. Yes the 40K range is the right price. Maybe you can find a swap out there for a nice auto trans C3. Lets keep in touch.

Hate to here the news Larry. But know what you're going through with the back issues. I blew a disc 20+ years ago and was not a happy camper for a couple of months before I had surgury to repair it. Luckily I haven't had any major issues since, but do 'feel it' after being in any vehicle for a few hours.
Look for the most recent "C3 Market Report" in Corvette Magazine to get a general feel for LT-1 prices (October 2008 I think was the latest one). "Chromies" in general have been holding their own and I would think that LT-1s would be well above the norm.
Again, sorry to hear the news. Hope the car finds as good home as you have given it!

So sorry to hear about your problems, brother Larry. I remember admiring your beautiful LT-1 in Carson City. Margie and I will be praying for your health problems to be cured. Good luck and be sure to give Lacy a big hug for us.

Wow Larry. Sorry to hear the news. I know what it's like to devote so much time, energy and love into these cars. It sucks that you have to sell her, I hope you get a good price and that your back gets better.
