Saw this on ebay. What do you think?
eBay Motors: Chevrolet : Corvette (item 230315095843 end time Dec-25-08 10:10:00 PST)
Seller will pay 1/2 shipping for "buy it now". Seems like a OK deal....

The trans, IF it is an M22, is not original to the car(which totally blows the "matching numbers" deal). The L88s were the only '68 cars with the M22...in case anyone was wonderin...
Yeah, it looks like a pretty fair deal, depending on how bad/good it really is. It looks a little rough, but still prolly worth the $$$ if the frame is good.

Steve, I hope it was you that got that 68. It seemed to be a really good deal.

Nope...wasn't me. Boy it really went fast... so must have been OK deal, at least to someone.

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
I think it was decent buy if the frame is good and the buyer realizes there's quite a few "one year only" parts on the 68. I hope he decoded the keypad on the engine.

Personally, I dont think this was a good deal. Fair yes, a disaster possibly... I judge the condition of cars (even at auction) by the cond of the interior. If you sit in filth, the rest of the car follows suit 90% of the time. The interior is 3000.00+ if you do it yourself. Figure the mandatory 2500.00 for every Vette you buy plus the mystery repairs and the oh, I forgot to tell you stuff. Easily your at 18k as your base. Theres some killer cars out there right now in the low 20s...
