Currently looking for the next care taker of this beautiful Corvette. Car had the engine rebuilt less than 500 miles ago to LT1 specs, with a body off restoration completed on the chassis five years ago. That is when I purchased and completed the restoration of the interior, with new carpets, driver’s seat foam and seat covers, rebuilt gauges, original radio, replaced weatherstripping on the T-tops and the doors. The hood was replaced with a ’72 LT1 hood to accommodate the taller Edelbrock intake and air cleaner. The car is all muscle, no power steering, no power brakes or A/C. Just built to go fast and with all the upgrades to the chassis including a mono leaf spring, shocks, trailing arms, gas tank, exhaust, just to name a few, it handles very well. The car has only 45K documented miles back to the mid 70’s. If you are looking for an LT1 you can drive and enjoy this might be the car, it wasn't born as an LT1, it was upgraded too one. I believe the car had a repaint at least in a few places in the past with the original War-Bonnet yellow (gold) color. The car has never been hit and you can still see all the bonding strip lines all the way around the car. Car has some stress cracks, minor scratches and paint chips but is very presentable. The car is a very low serial number ’71 built in August of ’70 and has lots of 1970 model year parts from the factory including the front parking lamp baskets, 5 port-washer, squirters for the headlights and ’70 back-up tail lights just to name a few. Still have the original T-Top bags. Right directional automatic cancel cam and the alarm system are the ONLY items that don't work, all the gauges including the clock, radio and fiber-optics work fine. The vacuum system is excellent condition and the headlights and wiper door open and close as they should. You can see from the pictures the car has a 21/2 inch dual exhaust and the car sounds awesome. The car still has its original numbers matching engine, 4-speed transmission and rear-end, it shifts through the gears nice and smooth, it currently has tires with a larger aspect as you can see and they handle great, like the engine the tires have less than 500 miles on them. All the trim rings are original 4-clip with the one clip around the valve stem, the headlights are the correct T3's for both low and high beams. Even the rocker moldings are original with the clip in the front, but what do you expect for a 45K mile car. I also have lots of documentation and receipts back to the mid 70's. I have taken lots of pictures, but you must see the car to appreciate it. No tire kickers and only bid if you plan on going through with the transaction. I currently have the vehicle listed locally as well so the auction could end early. If you have any questions I will be glad to answer them in email or the phone 404.731.7619 (9 - 8 EDT), email oram5@mindspring.com or make arrangements to see the car in person. Are you ready to be the next lucky care taker of this awesome vehicle? $24,900 OBO Located in Roswell, GA
