Yeah I saw where he was on the reserve.... whew.... I sent him an inquiry concerning the vette. My parents are in FLA right now and my dad could swing by and check this out for me depending on the sellers reply to my questions. (1 of which concerns the reserve).
We'll see how it goes from there. It sure looks like a ton of lovin to be done to me though.....

Vette(s): 1971 383 Stroker- mille miglia red...5 speed
x2
I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...
[QUOTE=cj5nutz]As you probably noticed, I let it go. Its just a little more work than I want to do for the return. I would like to know the reserve on it though. I asked , no one responded.

I asked again , lets see if he responds.
I was thinking that I might go 5 grand on it last time but the more I think about it and look at it, I am thinking $2500.00 is big money for it.

I am broke, I was hoping you could help a brother out

I think it is about time for a trip to Mid America
Some of the things I ordered at Funfest are still backordered. As much money as I have spent with them , I think a visit is in order.

[QUOTE=Tuxblacray] None the less it does have some potential to be a good clone or at least a sharp eye catching vette.

I agree with Tux, who could ever find or even afford the real thing anyways. That looks like a great project car (way above my abilities) and I love the way it looks without the headlights molded into the body. That was the only thing I didn't like about most the Motion Vettes.
Nice find Tux

Just in case some of you don't know what a Baldwin Motion car is supposed to look like here is a nice one...

Tuxblacray 2008-01-13 12:01:11

assuming for a moment that it was a Motion. How much $$ would have to be put in, including labor to make it right, and would the final product be worth that investment. What would a redone motion vette sell for ??
50k,100k more ??or less?
I would think to bring this baby back you are looking at every bit of 40-50k. just my .02

Special Sharks
I liked this TEXAS CAR article...
LARRY CLAINS 1970
My guess is a good clone is worth its weight to the right buyer and would be a beautiful sight in anybodys garage..... maybe like this one ...
