Shoot, the L-82 was in there, the tires were new, and it drove nice. Have had car 2 months now, wife and I have driven to shows and take it to dinner on weekends. Sorry Robert, both auto's. Funny you asked...the first vette I ever put money on was a red 1980 4 speed. Body was awesum, but when I had it checked by my mechanic trans support bracket bolts had to be left loose cause they would not line up and rear bumper brackets where rewelded to line up after the trip through the farm fiels at high speed. The kid that had the car lied through his teeth to me and so did his mother. Put a fast stop payment on that check.

GONE GONE GONE, Just traded her for a rough 74 and some cash. Rough meaning the ttops leaked and ruined interior. Happy though cause the 74 has the rockcrusher.

The car had to go right into shop for brakes (had zero pedel). Turned out one of the left rear caliper pistons was leaking. Should be ready today and I can go for my first real ride this evening. I have owned 2 vettes prior and both were 80's. I have always loved the more aggressive front end of 80-81-82, but got to admit I am starting to like the flat glass rear window design on this 74. If I do take pics how do I post here ?
