Vette(s): None yet but looking for a '71 or '72 Roadster, 4spd
Hey guys,

As you can tell from my posts I've been looking for a 71-72 roadster and came across this one : http://www.vettefinders.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/corvette.cardetail/g/3/id/12269/1972-Corvette-for-sale.htm

Can I get your input? Is the price reasonable for what's there? What looks good / bad? What should I be concerned about? Etc.

Thank you so much in advance!
-Marek

Vette(s): 1972 convertible 350, white with blue interior

Here is a link to pictures of my 72 #'s matching vert I just purchased in March for comparison.

I paid 26.5 for it.  The main differences that I see is that mine has a few more options - pw's and AC - the AC should be a 10% premium.

seems a little high to me. i would expect a near 30k car to have had the under carrage detailed and the suspension all rebuilt. see some over spray at the top of the doorjamb. i think you could do better.

Very nice looking 72 but I'm no expert.  I gonna agree with Bob on the price, I'd take a close look at the frame.  Matt (Mashman) that's an georgous 72 you got there Thumbs%20Up

I bought my '70 L-46 for about that price, California car, the underside and suspension is ALL NEW, or rebuildt. The interior and body are not perfect by any means, but the car is very nice. You can do much better, and not have the rust issues this car has, IMO.

Man I would highly suggest seeing it in person before paying 30K. You really need to see more. The underside by the trailer arms, the paint, chrome condition to name a few. You can't tell about some stuff by only seeing pics. As I see it, too much $.

Vette(s): 1971 convertible,375 HP 350ci,Muncie 4-speed,Edelbrock aluminum heads and RPM air-gap manifold,HEI distrubiter - old school mechanical tach drive. LOUD side exhaust!
For almost 28K, the car should be perfect. From what I could see of the frame, it's not perfect. I would definitely want to see it in person, up on a lift. Check the entire frame for rust. Check the body mounts. Check the birdcage. Verify that the numbers actually do match.

It looks like a nice car without knowing more about it. If the frame is good (just surface rust), I wouldn't lose sleep paying 25K for it. The best piece of advice is this: don't get too hung up on this car. There are thousands of vert's out there for sale. Make sure it's the right car for you.

Vette(s): 2004 Commemorative Edition Coupe, Auto w/HUD. 13K miles in 2015. Sold 1982 Red Coupe
IMHO, too much money for the miles, condition and a small block.
The seller will make a nice profit if it sells for anything near that.

I've got to agree - underside needs work and price is to high for the condition shown - IMHO
