I Have always went straight to the source 1st. Same way I would want to be dealt with. Then if they don't acknowledge my claim then off to ebay for what it is worth.

Tux, I did go straight to the source. I contacted him through eBay and told him the 300hp had to be a typographical error. His reply was "I think my guy had to much to drink Friday night". When I contacted him about the 270hp, his only comment was "thanks".
I think everyone on the forum should contact him through eBay. At least he might realize that quite a few people realize that he's a scam artist.

Sorry Jim I wasn't implying you didn't. I was just saying that is what I do. I'm old school like that. I was raised to meet a problem head on because it wasn't going away.
Yeah it looks like he is doing some serious back pedaling there. I like the idea of flooding him with questions / comments. In fact I think I will casue I can. It will have to be later today though.

It's too bad that there are people out there trying to scam others who aren't as informed as we are. They really hurt that first time buyer who just doesn't know any better. I know it's buyer beware, but it still makes me mad that people do stuff like this.

Call him on his BS! I like e-bay a lot, too bad people like that are on it. I know they toghened up a lot on negative feedback recently, so they might act on multiple complaints.
Disclamer: I thouroughly hate cheesy low life car lots. I love shopping for cars just so I can go and torture car salesman/women. 
Closed at $22,600 without getting to reserve.
Maybe it will be listed again with a different motor.

Dwight, that was last week's listing when it was a 300hp engine. As of now, there's 8 hours left and it's at $19,100, since it only has 270hp this weekFormer Member

The car sold this time....$23,900 which isn't a bad price but I hope the buyer realized that it wasn't a numbers matching car.
I looked at the buyers purchase history and from what I see, he should know what he's got. In the past 3 months; he's been buying go karts parts, Mustang parts (for a 69 and for a '05 to '07 one), the Corvette black book, some C6 parts, etc...
Who know, maybe it's not even for himself...
I bough my '74 on ebay. I wish I had paid 1000$ less and knew a little more about the suspension condition, but besides that, and overall good experience. Like anything online, a lot of weeding out to do, but there's good stuff out there.

I'm still watching this car for feedback from buyer. I just noticed this tonight. It was added 2 days before the auction ended. (at the very bottom when it wouldn't be obvious)
