Vette(s): I own a 85 but I'm looking for my late dads 72
I know this is a shot in the dark but it won't hurt to try
I'm looking for my dads 1972 corvette I don't have much info to give you but I need to start some where
I was very young when the car was sold so here is what I got
1972 blue corvette manual t-tops I think it had black interior
It was sold at my house in Queens NY in 1983-85 to some guy that lived in Suffolk County NY
He paid cash because I remember playing with the money
My dads name was Howard Dreher Jr
I am trying to find the vin number but no luck yet I have a basement of papers to go through
If anyone has a better way or trick to finding this car it would be greatly appreciated
I'll take any help or even your 2 cents
Thank you very much for any help you give me
It would mean a lot to me to find the car even if the owner is not willing to sell the car just knowing where it is would be good enough for now
Again guys thank you very much it means the world to me if I can find this car

I'm sorry I forgot to add my info
My name is Ron Cutting you can email me @ roncuttingjr@gmail.com
Thanks again
Any idea where your dad bought it from? If new does the dealer still exist?
ebo
Do you have the insurance company name your dad used? They may have the vin still on their records.
Look through that pile of papers for service records also, some places used vin numbers on them also.
Good luck and keep us informed we love these stories!
Of course if you find it and purchase it you will have to join for life and cruise with us.....just sayin..

Unless you know the name of the feller that bought it, and can contact him, we/you will definitely need a VIN. More info, such as body/interior color, engine size, trans(auto/manual), and any modifications that may have been done to it will help narrow down the search.
If you can come up with the VIN, you can do a search HERE to see if it is registered at C3VR to one of our members. After that, you might be able to do a Title Search with your state DMV. A little harder to do these days, but worth a shot.
We'll help as much as we can to try and reunite you with your Dad's old Corvette.
