A long long time ago on 8/31/1971, I purchased a new 1972 Corvette coupe (Elkhart Green, base 350, 4-speed) from Ken Wilson Chevrolet in Vestal, NY.

I sold the Vette 3 years later to a friend of mine, with the promise that I had first chance to buy it back if he ever wanted to sell it.  Four months later, my former friend, traded my Vette in on a pickup at the Chevy dealer in Owego, NY.  At that point I lost track of my Vette. For years I carried the VIN number with me in case I saw a green ’72 coupe.

To this day I have never found it and am asking if anyone might have any information on my first Corvette VIN #1Z37K2S500124.  I have paperwork and etc. that may be of interest to the current owner.  Feel free to contact me at KD4HXD@charter.net

PS – To make up for my loss, I purchased a 1996 Polo Green LT-1 coupe which gets driven only on nice sunny days.

WOW - that was an early build...!!!  Didn't know if you had looked in our registry but I checked - and sorry to say it hasn't registered by another C3VR member.  Good luck on the hunt!
