About 4-5 yrs ago this guy traded a vintage HD 1946 for the 77 that is pictured.  He passed the motorcycle off as vintage & went to the trouble of really making the cycle appear as original.  Even fooled a Harley expert. At that time this 77 was worth at least 25K so it was a fair trade if the cycle was authentic.  The owner of the newly acquired HD found out the engine was not original & contacted this crook who immediately went on the defensive & said the vet engine blew up on the way home. If it did it was because he left the NOS on to long. The pictures of the car are not current they are 4-5 yrs old. I seriously doubt that this car looks anything like this now.  This is one con man I would stay away from. When this car was traded 4-5 yrs ago it was one of the nicest custom 77's in the USA. It was on many magazines & won numerous trophies. The owner at that time owned one of the largest C-3 fourms & was & still is a corvette nut. Just trying to prevent someone from getting burned. I know what went into this car & at 12K even now if it was in the condition when it was traded would be a good buy. It has practically all the goodies you can get for a C-3. So unless you eyeball it yourself & really check it out in person...delete the idea.

Thanks for the story.

I did notice that a couple of the engine pictures were not taken at the same time as they have different fan and air cleaner on the car.  Could not tell what else was different.
