I like dis un, but....always gots to be a "but" in there...
Why, with 19,000 on it, would anyone go thru the major hassle of a body-off? I would have to question the reasoning behind that....but that's just me.
The car is missing the fan shroud, which would pretty much make it un-drivable in any kind of traffic.
It appears to be missing the light that goes under the "CORVETTE" plate in the upper dash(where the A/C vent would be, if it had A/C).
And finally...the car looks really nice. Can't tell from the pics how nice the work is. The interior looks fine, the detail work under the hood look good. Problem is, would you want to drive it all the time, then clean it back up?
Of course, you could drive it, and not worry so much about the details, either...just have FUN!
Price-wise it's about right, IF all the work was done right, and is nice.
Could this maybe be the one????
Bill is going out of town so I am seeing if I can kidnap Mike for a while this weekend. Not sure if there is a mall near by for Debbie though.

I kinda wondered the same thing about restoring a 19K mile Vette. But maybe having the access to a school program prompted it.
My computer doesn't show pics very well(accelerator on high) but is there even a radiator in that one pic? Maybe pics are just from the ongoing restoration.
Well the guy said that the guy before him let it sit for a long time in a garage not doing anything with it, so that is the only reason I can think of. And I don't think the pictures are from when it was being restored.

You do know I almost cried when I read this.

Tears of joy or sadness TJ? From what I can see of it, it is well worth a look. What I hear Mike and Joel saying is there are a few details to be aware of, or checked out when inspecting it. So far it appears to me there is nothing that can't be taken care of for not much money. Plus you have a ton of connections on this site for whatever you may need. Also these details can be used when offer is made. Please keep in mind your not going to find a Trailer Queen in your price range. Just my .02.............. "T"
"The car is missing the fan shroud, which would pretty much make it un-drivable in any kind of traffic. "
This is the part that worries me. I talked to Bill last night and he totally agrees that it really wouldn' t be drivable that way, it would overheat real quick(and I would have to drive it through Chicago traffic) He said it is not cheap to get the replaced on the car. This is not a trailer queen part, this is a nessary part for the car be drivable and at $20,000, I don't want a no drivable car.
If Tux can get his friend to look at it that would be great. Then I will waste Mike's time and drag him down there if the guy says ok.
The guys at works here said to buy an Arizona or Texas car. That I wouldn't have to check it over because it would be good just because it is from there. I just let them say what they wanted and didn't argue.
