Howdy!

The center carb on my car has no vent opening at the top of the fuel/float bowl.  Is this normal for my year, build date (6/69)?

Thanks for looking!
Mike

It should have a bowl vent.  Perhaps the bowl has been changed.  Do you have the correct part numbers and date code on the air horn?

Howdy Mike,

Thanks for the reply.

I read your post a few weeks ago and forgot to respond.  Would the center Holley have a serial number on it to relate to the VIN?

By Air Horn  do you mean the Air Cleaner or a part on the carburetor?

You should have a number like this on the air horn of the carburetor body.  It does not have a serial number but it does have a date code which has a relationship with the VIN and build date of your car.

The bowl is where the vent would be and that part of the carburetor has no numbers and could have been changed.  The end carbs do not have vents but the center one does.
