The fuel pump comes on for the 2 seconds when you turn on the key but not after you start the car.  The oil pressure gauge works and shows 60 before the car dies from no fuel.  Is there a way to check the oil pressure sensor.

I'd recommend first checking your fuel pressure. I'm not sure if the oil pressure sensor is a on-off switch or a variable resistance. Either way you could probably check it with a DVM.  I believe there is a relay that is controlled by the oil pressure sensor and it is switches power to the fuel pump. You can check the relay with a DVM also.

Does the engine actually start but then die? Or..does it not actually start at all?

I'd need to check, but there may be two oil pressure sensors on the Crossfire...one for the gauge, and one for the fuel pump switch. I can look that up and report back. If the pump comes on for a couple of seconds when you turn the key on, the pump is working, BUT...it needs both oil pressure and an ignition signal to continue working.

I have the Factory Service Manual, and the wiring diagrams... I'll check, but it will be tomorrow before I can post. If you want, you can check the wiring diagrams on my web page anytime.

Thanks for your help.  Yes the car will start but dies quickly.  I found a used GM shop manual on ebay and am waiting for delivery.

I just with through this with my 82 Collectors Edition. It most probably the connector hose on the pump assembly in the tank. Mine was split and could not send fuel to the throttle bodies. My car was acting just like you described. You will need to remove the assembly from the tank and replace the hose. Make sure the hose is for submersible use or it will fail in just a week or two.
