The body had U-nuts slipped over the edge, and there were four phillips head stainless screws; one on each side, and two on the top.

Look at THIS pic of the bezels, and you'll see the holes for the screws that Larry mentioned. The nuts for the screws are fastened to the body...unless they have fallen off, or were removed.

I do believe the 80 didn't have bezels, the tips just turned down in front of the rear valance, to make bezel work you might have to cut and do some fiberglas work......."forget about it"

The easiest way to cut bezels into your car is to cut the openings to fit the bezels, and rough up the inside around the opening. Then cover the back of the bezels with several layers of paper and finally masking tape for easy release, then tape the bezels in place. Lay fiberglass mat so it sticks to the body and molds to the paper-covered bezel. Drill through the mounting holes. Then pull the bezels out and remove the layers of paper to give yourself a little clearance. Cut your new fiberglass about 3/8 inch beyond the holes you drilled so you can slip "U" nuts over the edge, and you are done.
