A while ago I had posted about the incompatibilty of my AIR system with the new catalytic converter I installed. I've been driving around without the AIR tube connected for several months now, and I decided to look into fixing it again. When I bought the exhaust I also purchased this kit, which turned out to be a bunch of useless parts. Doing some more looking, I found this other kit from Mid-America. I emailed to get some specifics, but my main concern is, would that "ThermoKing" hose be able to stand up to the heat generated by the cat? As it apparently connects directly to the converter vent tube, and then to the AIR tube at the other end of the line. I test fit some 1/2" rubber hose and, other than some major kinks in the rubber line, it seems like it might work.

That should work ok...I've seen folks use regular heater hose for this, but it has to be replaced every now and then, because heater hose won't stand up to the heat.
Just make the connection as close as you can, so you only have to use a short section of hose to splice the two tubes together, and you should be fine.
