Just wanted to pass this on to all. I was talking to one of the Notary Public's in town and they gave me some info on the emissions question. I can either get a Antique, Classic, or Collectible registration plate. with either of them you are exempt from emissions testing. Classic and colletible must be inspected annually. You just fill out the paperwork and take pictures if needed. There is a mileage restriction I think she said I didn't really listen to that part. HA HA ! Hope it helps |thumb| |saluteflag| |idea|

Hmmm, I'm gonna ask around about that. I was under the impression that if your car had cats on it, you had to meet emissions for any registration EXCEPT antique ( cause they don't require any inspection at all ).
If your guy is correct, it could save people a bunch of money and grief.

Worked for me. My 79 had no smog equipment on it when I bought it. My mechanic told me about it and I had it registered as a classic. These types of registrations good for as long as you own the car. |thumb|

|eek| WHEN I BOUGHT MY 79 IT HAD SIDE PIPES AND HEADERS ON IT. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL POLICE STATION AND THE OFFICER I TALKED TO SAID THAT I DIDN`T HAVE TO GET AN EMISIONS INSPECTION BECAUSE I REGESTERED THE CAR WITH CLASSIC PLATES. WE WENT INSIDE AND LOOKED UP THE LAWS PERTAINING TO CLASSIC CARS AND HE WAS RIGHT. MY CAR WAS LEGAL ACCORDING TO THE PA. LAWS. CLASSIC PLATES IN PA ARE ONLY $75 ( A ONE TIME FEE) HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
