Anyone ever hooked up a electrical fuel shutoff selonoid? One that when it gets 12 volts, the circuit is closed and fuel passes, and when it doesn't get voltage the circuit is open and no fuel passes. I can't find one, one that will pass good fuel volume and compact in size. I thought of Hurst line lock but it works in reverse, doesn't pass fuel when circuit is closed. |headscratch|

I haven't looked in like Jeg's or Summit, they might have something. Other wise a place like Graingers if you have one around by you. Basicically it sounds just lie a normally closed 12 VDC solenoid valve. Of course it has to be able to hadle gasoline, but I do not see this as a problem. Probally the same as a nitrous solenoid for added fuel, the obly thing is I don't know the capacity of those solenoids. I did not see one in Summit Racing, but that does not mean they will not have it. They have a great Tech line, maybe call them, and they will be able to stear you in the right direction. Could we ask as how you plan to use this? Or just a saftey shutoff in the fuel line?

Thanks,
Dave

Yea, I looked through all my catolgs to,no luck. I believe the nitrous selenoids might be too small, though I probley should call and ask.I plan to use the fuel selenoid in combination with a hidden kill switch, to the HEI,to a relay,to the safety switch,to the fuel shutoff seleniod, to the pressure switch connected to the half lb.of C-4 under the drivers seat

|wavey| .Thanks for the reply Dave

WOW a half pound of C4, you going for a BIG bang for the buck!

If you have any extra layig around let me know, I have a few things that need adjustments, and I think that would do nicely.

after further review I have decided to make a change to my anti thief device by replacing the C4 under the drivers seat with a mini mortor that uses a 2 3/4 12ga. slug. |idea|
