I just found links to three articles which I found to be excellent regarding the maintenance and adjustment of the crossfire throttle bodies.  I have found lots of info in the past, but these are excellent and have great illustrations.  Hope these help my fellow crossfire members.

Speaking of crossfires...  We had a customer with a terrible hot-start problem.  The car would barely run and belch black smoke for a full minute, then be fine.  He had the injectors rebuilt, replaced the pressure regulator, etc.  Boos Performance in Anoka, MN  finally found debris in the fuel return line.  He blew it out and the car runs great.

Thanks Chip!
Good stuff there, however, I see an increase in the pile of damaged throttle bodies coming soon! If anyone takes on the job of reaming your throttle bodies for bushings, I can only say, take your time!!! Don't try to do this job in a few minutes. You could wind up with throttle bodies that are worse than when ya started...
The procedure is pretty simple, really, but it does require patience.

I agree Joel, I'm considering having Dynamic Crossfire Solutions to rebush mine in the future.  The bushings were the scariest part of the procedures in these links but I now have a much better understanding of how the system works and what can go wrong with it.  The balancing is much simpler than I imagined.  All of my anti-tamper caps are still in place so I know mine hasnt been rebalanced in 25 years.

Ah yes.   Steve is part of the '82 CE Registry.    He's been doing some great work on making excellent parts and information.     I've been placing them on top to keep for a referance.   Top A guy.  Thumbs%20Up
