Topic: Carb Recommendation
in Forum: C3 Fuel, Emission Control, and Exhaust Systems
A very good street carb is the edelbrock, I have a model 1411 on my vet for a few yrs & never had a problem. Very easy to adjust & not to costly & there jet kits are easy for anyone. Mine is a 750cfm, but you might want to go with a 650 or 700 if they have it. Just remember bigger is not always the way to go with carbs. Call Edlebrock and explain what you have & they'll recommend the correct carb. I recently switched to a 750 double pumper speed demon, which give me more power at high RPM. This is also a great carb , but much more difficult to tune. I'll be installing the Edelbrock on my 67 Dodge 340 stroker(392) & it should be a good driver. I'll be up around your neck of the woods this weekend..staying close to the Del Water Gap.
