Hey guys, before I sell my carb:

What is depicted in these pictures:

What is that, and will I need it with my Edlebrock #1406? Will I need to transfer anything over at all?

Thanks guys,
-Louis

i believe its the AC fast idle solenoid..

it idles your car up when the AC is on.

I used to buy replacements for the solenoid at NAPA. The bracket will be the tough part. If you have andy wrecking yards with old stuff from the 70s, you may find many GMs will have the bracket and sol.

well, I just took the solinoid off the old Rochester and compared it to the new Edlebrock 1406 600CFM carb
http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/carb_square.html and there is no place to screw on the bracket for the solinoid. What should I do, do I need it then or does this carb not need it? Do I have to mount is tome other way?

Thanks guys,
-Lou.....
