Oh, it was bad.  She did it all in one afternoon.  Twice on one leg, once on the other!  Boy was she pissed.
dnv although any burn is bad and hurts, my wife road in a guys vette years ago and got a 3rd degree burn on her leg and he had covers on them. if i ever tried to put side pipes on mine both the car and me would be history (and i am lucky too as she pretty much lets me do anything i want too).

also and i know its personnal choice, don't know if i would like it so loud you can't hear nothing else. do like the sound of power but also with a ride that is comfortable on the ears as well.

I'm a little late with my comments... BUT I do have a Set of Mid America Chambered Exhausts....currently they are on my 79....BUT with the stock mufflers clamped on the ends....  Way TOO loud on the coupe...IMPOSSIBLE to live with with the tops on and the windows up...

Get the same results when I install them on my 76 coupe.. just way too loud...

NOW on my 72 Convertible... (with the top down which is normally the position it is in )....I LOVE THEM...

This is the exact same system ..just removing it from one car and installing on the other... The 72 did require a didderent piece on the back then the 76 or 79 however...

My advise... Yea toss them on a Ragtop and enjoy... BUT if you own a Coupe the only way I would  install them would be IF I wanted to avoid the Dentist because with the windows up your teeth will become so loose they will fall out ...
