I finally got my chambered exhaust system installed today. It's LOUD!!! I had it installed at nearby muffler shop that does a lot of custom exhaust work and I am glad I did. The rear sections where it exits through the valance did not line up at all and you end up with U-clamps hanging down next to the differential. They modified it to fit better and a lot cleaner look than with the kit.
Also found out my trans mount is broken. Maybe thats the vibration on the freeway....Next project! Also had the change the passenger side exhaust manifold because I knew it had a broken head pipe flange bolt ear, glad I did that too, cause the manifold literally snapped in half when they went to undo the head pipe!
So now I have no leaks but a lot louder system than expected. The neighbors are gonna love me now when I leave for those early morning show trips! Let them eat cake!

Very cool, Reid
. I've got them on my '70 and the sound can't be beat. If you want to hook up and drive over to Cruisin for a Cure in September let me know. My house is 10 minutes from there and you have to pass my exit on the way down to the fairgrounds.

Sounds like a good idea. I don't ever park in the Vette "corral", however. I get there about 6am and get a spot on the cruise route (same spot each year) and park in the shade. I'll get in touch with you before its time and we can arrange something. I also have a friend who is bringing his bug this year. I usually shoot 10 rolls of film and still don't get everything. Have you seen the guy who cruises in the "Lazy Boy" recliner. The ultimate!

I parked in the corral last year and BAKED...a spot on the cruise route in the shade would be ideal

Just had them installed on my 70. just took the first real road trip to, 340 miles down 101 to a trhee day show in coos bay, a couple of the club members there made a comment that "I had them best sounding vette there" oh yeah, loud and lovin' it

I have just finished installing a chambered exhaust system on my 72 BB. Boy does it sound good. My wife remarked "Oooh, it's loud! They'll know when we show up!"
She also thinks it sounds like a boat. HMMM Some boat!
I am so happy with it, a great choice. I ended up adding a hanger to grab the clamps in the back, just after the rear dif and before the spare wheel carrier.
Made Loud to Play Loud!!!
