Ron - the insert arrived yesterday, I arrived today (was out of town until today). I can't believe anybody would use these!!! You might as well shove a watermelon in the sidepipe & then go for a ride! I'd bet you'll lose over 100 HP on any 400+ HP application running these!

to be fair.. they are made to make side pipes quiet.. but that power loss sounds pretty bad.

I can build chambered inserts for these, plus mine will install more securely -

you need to be careful if it involves increasing the diameter any... with coated pipes they can be a tight fit as is.

I already have an idea in mind. Plus, mine will let moisture drain out. Hooker should be embarrassed about this product! Do you want me to throw away this insert, or do you want to do it? (just kidding - I'll ship it back to you).

I will produce modified ends for my long 2.5" Powersticks (26" body section), but they will be the same length overall as the Hooker insert. There will also be another innovation which you will see which will be an anti-vibration feature. Heating & cooling cycles will not affect the dampener feature.

I'll be able to price these after I see all that's involved. Just curious, what's the price on the Hooker inserts? (I wouldn't run those if someone gave them to me!).
