I saw a post on another forum about a chambered muffler for hooker side pipes..
http://www.classicchambered.com/
anyone used anything like this here ??
they have some mp3 of the cars with the exhaust..
no vettes but they do have an AC cobra kit
sounds pretty slick.. just not sure about how loud it would be in the car.. is it a conversation stopper??

Yes indeed, they do make a racket.
That 340 Charger sounds almost identical to the chambered side pipes on my 350 (cam "lope" and all).
It is a beautiful rumble, but you can forget about the radio - unless you keep the tops and the windows up (and how much fun is that
). Conversation levels will have to be adjusted accordingly, as well. In other words, YOU HAVE TO GET LOUD ONCE IN A WHILE.
Personal opinion: I think they'll compliment that wicked front cap on your Vette.

I liked the sound... watched the chase scene in Bullit last night to see if that great sound was the same..
I like the low pitch throaty sound..
especially liked the comparison of the stang with oem and stang with chambered..
im just not sure which of the four (three really as straight pipes are just too damn loud) I want to go with ...
chambered
straight flow
reverse flow
This will probably be a winter project as I would need to pull them off to do the body off Im planning..
