From the latest responses, it sounds like I will just have to start with the overfill line at the fill spout, and work my way forward! Thanks again guys; you gave me some specific things to on which to focus my attention. Thumbs Up

Check the gas cap too....some are vented, others are not...mine was missing the dumb paper gasket ( 72 was sealed type).

I'm sorry, I can't help myself.

If you have a foul gas oder under your rear end, quit going through the drive through at Taco Bell, and lay off the refried beans!  That will help!

Sorry again....

Hey Ken. I have that refied bean problem. Found out the smell comes from my "emission control".

I'm also sorry

What emission control, if you are talking about the charcoal canister there is a filter at the bottom that needs to be changed kinda looks like a thick Mr. Coffee filter, another problem with the canister is after about ten+ years it should be replaced, the carbon can only absorb so much fuel vapor before it starts to turn to dust and quits working, and if the sepporator has melfuntioned and flooded the canister with gas its toast.............hey, did I miss something?anips38565.86625

Again I'm really sorry about that post Anips, but I couldn' resist Ken's post about Taco Bell & refried beans, & the gas that comes from my bottom. My wife really wishes I had  a carbon can. Maybe I'll try a Mr. Coffee filter. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks thats funny. Terry

Many years ago some one actually wanted to affix catalytic converters to the greatest source of methane emissions in the country.   Cows.  They blow it out of both ends.  I wonder how the cows would feel about this?????

Okay it's true, but I should probably stop this before someone tells me to sit on a cannister.
