I put on a Mallory 140 comp pump on my old 81 dragrace car and it does make a lot of noise. I mean a lot. You would have to fabricate the hold down somehow and drill two or three holes through the actual hold down unit, probably soft aluminum, t-2024 so you could bend it accordingly. The pump would eventually vibrate the holding strap loose and this is not a good thing. I would not ever put on a fuel pump without bolting it solid to a frame. Also, check out the barry grant website or holley and you can see just how much fuel you can move through the stock 3/8's line. I ran a 3/8's line with a 720 hp blown small block with two 600 holleys at Detroit Dragway for 4 years with no problem. By the way, holley makes a street/strip mechanical pump 110 gph that is probably good up through 650 hp. That is plenty for the street. hope this helps.

I have an electric fuel pump on a TPI conversion. Mounted it above the frame rail by the fuel tank. It is pretty quiet. Are you doing a fuel injection conversion or a carbutetor?

Hi Leonard,

Based on the way you set up your survey I don't think you will get the results you are looking for. The response choices should be answers to the question, not questions themselves.
