HI I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME. i HAVE A 79 L-48 VETTE AND I WAS GOING TO ORDER SOME NEW EMISSIONS DECALS FOR UNDER THE HOOD.I LOOKED THROUGH ALL THE CATALOGS I HAVE AND CANT FIND THE RIGHT ONE. MY DECAL BY THE BRAKE BOOSTER HAS A CA THEN A 5.7 LITER AFTER IT ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE CA STANDS FOR. I CHECKED ALL THE SPEC BOOKS AND CHECKED ALL THE BOOKS I HAVE WITHOUT ANY SUCESS. ALSO I HAVE A EMISSIONS HOSE ROUTING DECAL ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD WHICH I CANNOT FIND ANY INFO ON IN THE CATALOGS. IF ANYONE CAN HELP I WOULD BE GRATEFUL. THANKS 79 FROST BLUE VETTE.

Are you sure regarding the CA sticker?
A 1979 emission sticker for a L-48 Should be either a CJ for L-48 Federal or CM for L-48 Hi-Alt or CR L-48 California car.
Also shown is a X6 Designation for a L-48 by NCRS standards but I think that is incorrect, as they also show a CJ for the L-82.
My books show the CA as being used on the 1977 L-82 car.
You can get new stickers as a set for $10.00 from Paragon Reproductions, sorry don't have website but their phone number for service and tech is 810-655-4641. Their catalog order number is 800-882-4688.

I just went out and double checked the decal and it sure is a CA on it. I got the car from the original owner and have all the paperwork for the car so i really dont know whats goin on. I will try and find out more thanks so much for your help. I am really puzzled now.

I just rechecked my Emissions Sticker located above the brake booster it says CJ, but I noticed something I wish you would check at the very bottom of the sticker, very small type: This Vehicle Conforms to U.S.E.P.A. Regulations Applicable to 1979 Model Year New Passenger Cars. Does your's say this? I wish you would check this out, no book I have or catalog I have shows a CA for the 79 Corvette, only for a 77. Maybe other members would shead some light on this, I would like to hear from them. Also, per your first post regarding the hose emission sticker on the inside of the hood this sticker will come as a set when you order the emission sticker ( about $10.00) I wasn't able to find it by itself.

I rechecked the sticker and this is what it has CA 5.7 liter 350 CI numbers under 350ci 910l4 under that is 984l-1 yes it has that 1979 passanger vehicle saying at the bottom that you have written in your post also it has what looks like a part # 14006780. Thank you for all your info you are a big help. Hope we can figure this out.
