For my '78 I bought a true dual exhaust system from Corvette Central. No problems at all...it fit right up without issue. Less back pressure, good sound and runs great.

I can give their products a big thumbs up!

I'm with Larry here. I don't think anything tops the chambered exhaust.

Unless you want gum bleeding, ear damaging, gets louder every time you fire it up soundCool

I went with the side pipe setup from Ecklers.  bolted right up to the factory rams horn headers.  Shorty aftermarket headers would probably fit as well.

It is a tad noisy inside but it sounds great outside!

I've had my chambered exhaust for 2 years. I wouldn't have anything else. It is very throaty, yet mellow, until you get to 4000 revs, then it starts to really to scream. What I like is it is a true dual system and it eliminates those giant bulky mufflers hanging out the back.

The Corvette Central aluminized system is very nice, I ordered mine with Magnaflow mufflers.  Only problems I had were fitment with my AIR system and the O2 sensor bung was a little too big for some reason.

I'm with the chamberd exhaust guys. I put mine on my 73 2 yrs ago and won't go with nothing else. Once you hear the sound, it's great. The inside sound is very mellow! Bought it from Mid America. $299 bolt right on

Certainly no offense intended here but I had both a 66 and 67 with factory side exhaust. In reality, these cars came from the factory with chambered exhaust and the noise level inside the car was much higher than my present rear chambered system.
