Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
Chambered exhaust, IMO.
Do a search on "exhaust" and "sound" and you will find lots of opinions.

If you think you want loud all the time, ride with someone who has it for an hour straight before you install them.
You might change your mind.

I have headers, duals and stock style mufflers on my black79. Sounds great, not loud but you still know there's something under the hood, as does the guy next to ya at the stoplight! On my white79, I simply replaced the cat with a test pipe. Rest is all factory. Sounds almost as good as the black one. I don't like a LOT of noise, I like to let the Vette just stand out on its own. Not by how noisy it is.

I had a 69 coup with hooker side pipes so the chambered don't sound that loud to me. Wouldn't change for anything!
