I was wondering if anyone has wrapped their exhaust to cut down on the heat in the cab.

 

I have the cool mat in the interior and it still gets pretty warm, I just had to have my starter rebuilt from the Heat as well. I have a roll of Cool It wrap and I wrapped my starter before I re-installed it. I also wrapped the exhaust from the flange of the manifold down past the starter to help prevent my starter from going out again, anyways will wrapping the exhaust cut down the heat and prevent anything else from being destroyed?
