Been storing my 75 outside for the winter with the usual fuel stabilizer, etc. since 1999. This is the first Spring where she wouldn't light off. Cranks fine, spark is fine, fuel feed to the in-carb filter is OK. Believe I'm losing it in the carb, as the starting squirters don't squirt. Carb is an Edelbrock Rochester clone. My guess is I'm a victim of the new blends of gas, which gum even with stablizer.
Never had this carb apart. All hints/suggestions welcome!!!

Did you try to prime it just a little to see if she would fire?

In fact, I did ... and she fired for a split second. That's why I suspect the inlet end of the carb ...
Thanks

Sounds likely. (Had same problem with my snowblower this winter - much easier carb to diassemble and free the float!!) Looking for hints/lookouts re: diassembling the top end of the QJet. All I have is the Roe book on Rochesters. Any magic around removing the air horn? Looks like it can be done on the car ...
Thanks

It does sound like a sick carb. Might need some laxative!!

Wack it with a rubber mallet, See if it will free a sticky float.

If you drop the fuel line at the carb, you can shoot it with carb cleaner if the needle is stuck or try forcing fuel in with a gravy baster ( don't tell the wife ) or battery fill bulb. Same thing happened on my holly. try to stay away from methanol enhanced fuels ( like 76 ). They don't store for
