Can't post picture yet. I've been sick and have not been to the shop.

Are the motor and transmission mounts new or original ones? I'm just taking a wild *** guess. Maybe that could be giving you issues.

Jeff (JPD1stVETTE) used Paragon's mounts and he said they were the same as stock, so I looked at the picture of Paragon's and they look a little different than the Eckler's mounts which we put in. I ordered a set from Paragon and we will see if that helps.

Hey Dave,
I previously said I had no problems with mine, which are the exact same part #, and I had plenty of clearance around, but I thought I'd be a little more specific, as I know you have wondered if this was maybe a problem with the headers themselves.  Anyway, the headers fit my car perfectly, right our of the box, except of course the expected trimming of the fender bottoms and the rocker covers.  The only thing unexpected is that I had to dimple the header away from the steering box, as it probably only had 1/16" clearance there.  Hooker has been making these things so long, I can't imagine it's the headers.

I hear you, I had to put a "dent" in one of the tubes to clear the pitman arm when the wheels are turned full left. We'll see what happens when the new mounts show up.
Thanks,
Dave

Well the new mounts are in and the headers still hit the frame %&$#@%.
I'm at witts end with this thing. Maybe solid mounts?
Heat and bend?
I know this isn't pretty but at some point you will just get tired of screwing with them. I had to do this after I had exhausted all options on a set of Hedmans.

I cut out the tube(s) that were giving me grief. This was after all of the phone BS and numerous in / out heat and bend trials. Then I took some flex tubing (like what Chevrolet used from the breather to the exhaust mainfold to heat the air intake with.) Bent it in the shape that cleared what I wanted. Bent the header tube(s) to conform to that shape and welded them back in.

It was a heck of alot easier and less frustrating than jacking around with everything for what seemed to be forever and a day.

I realize that isn't the way new headers should fit but like you I was at the end.

The guys at the speed shop were discusted with the response they were getting from their supplier and Hedman too. They offered back the difference in their and my price. (they sold them to me at cost) Then they dropped Hedman from their line.

Good Luck .....!
