I put a Fuel pressure gage on my vette and the needle jumps from 0 to 9 psi like mad...   then if i drive it and stop to look. The needle calms down and has a slower bounce from 2 to 4 psi. Is this normal or do I have a pump or carb problem ?

Thanks,
Joe

You have a pump issue. Sounds like the valves in the pump are not seating...

Which is prolly why you had too much fuel pressure to start with, and that's what was causing it to flood out before you installed the press. regulator.
