I bought a new strainer for inside the gas tank, while looking in there I also noticed a lot of rust on the sides of the tank. Has anyone changed the strainer before? I could use some advise, also what is the best way to clean the tank, do I need to remove it? |headscratch|

you can change the strainer by just removing the pickup from the bottom of the tank. yes you will need to remove the tank to clean it properly. POR-15 makes a cleaner (thats what I used) but i'm sure there are others.i bought a new strainer but mine was in great shape so i left the orgional on.
