Can someone walk me thru the removal on my 77? No fuel lines on bottom that I see.And I think there is a line that runs to charcoal canister under drv. side front fender?

its not too bad - the lines on top are ususlly accesable thru the fuel fill hole by removing the gas lid and the rubber seal - if you have big hands you can lower the tank a little and use a set of long 90 degree bent pliers to remove and replace the clamps.

If you want to drop your tank, I did it a year or so ago (on a 76).  Here is what I put in an earlier post.  One thing I left out is removing the center support after pulling the straps.  It is light and easy to remove if the bolts aren't frozen or rusted.  I can't overemphasize getting all the fuel out that you can ahead of time and be sure to disconnect the battery.  When working on the tank, only use brass tools or send it out (fumes only can cause an explosion too.Wink
