Topic: Gas Tank
in Forum: C3 Fuel, Emission Control, and Exhaust Systems
Hey guys,
Dad and I are getting back to work. We've been busy back ont eh car for a bit now. But now we're getin down to the gas tank. The gas tank is fine as far as metal goes. THe sending unit we tested thats fine, but its the bladder. How the hell can I get the cripled bladder to work? THe inside was preserved realy well, its just the top has coroded and won't provide an acuate seal. Rubber is missing and I won't be able to use the threads on the bladder to bolt down the sending unit. A new tank is $200 however it gives you instructions on HOW TO USE YOUR ORIGINAL BLADDER. I found a few placed to make me one, but they would rather not because its for a 'fragile car' or it would 'cost too much money'. I'm at a loss for ideas and money here. Whats the best way to seal that up with no problems? Can someone please help me?
Thanks a lot guys,
Have a great day

If all else fails, give Quanta a call. If anyone would know if an earlier year will fit, they will.

These guys make all of the repro tanks. I got mine from them. Excellent quality, and service.
