I've just got done installing a 427ci BB and a Pro / Street 700R4 in my wifes 1981. Problem now is finding a set of headers for it without being custom built. Does anyone know if a set of headers for a 1974 (last year with the BB) will work in a 81? If so who makes them? Appreciate any help at all. Shes ready to roll other than exhaust.

shouldnt be a problem.. the chassis remained unchanged throughout the c3 years..
but your going to have a tight fit regardless..

I believe you might have to "notch" the left bank header, no matter what brand it is, to clear your steering box. I hope I'm wrong on this, but this jumped up a big red flag as soon as I read your post. Good luck.

Anything, but Stock and more mods to come!
SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.
FYI, Hooker sells several headers that should work. They have a couple choices for headers that fit for under body exhaust.Depending on what accessories you have and what engine mount/stands you used it should solve your problem.
Hooker also sells a Engine swap side pipe header system as well.
I would email their tech group or call them.
