Most header companies tell you not to wrap the headers or your warranty will be void. I've had the Flowtech ceramic coated headers on my car for 6 or 7 yrs. now. They still look great.

Does the coating give any heat protection to the starter or plug wires? And what about inside compartment temp?

Sorry Lonnie no heat protection from the coating. Each of the 3 questions rolled into one (starter, plug wires, inside compartment) will have to be dealt with seperately. Nothing is ever that simple....
