Technically - yes. Of course, you'll have to be aware of any state regulations regarding the installation of headers/sidepipes (because of removal of Cat's) and how you have your car registered (i.e. classic, historic, daily driver).
The set of Hookers that I have on my 76 may also be available for your 77. However that will depend on the engine you have in there (stock/replaced/size/etc).

thanks eric for your input. i have period corret thrush sidepipes. the way i installed them was to cut the y-pipeand turn the two halfs out. it worked realy good and it sounds great. i was wondering if there are headers about the same size and shape as the stock manifords?

There are brands of short headers are close to the same size as the ram manifolds. I was told that Eckler's sells a brand of headers that will fit their stock replacement side pipe kits. I don't remember if they were Hooker or Hedman...

Vette(s): 1973 Orange Metallic Coupe (orig owner), L82, 4 spd (WR), PS, (A/C & PW (I installed from wrecked 73)), leather, AM/FM Stereo, ran with '65 FI unit earlier & will again some day.

Check Jeg's. They used to have a SBC header for Corvettes that pointed to the side of the car instead of the rear. It will require some amount of cutting and welding on your sidepipes to hook up.
Good luck!

I just finished looking through all of Jegs stuff. You can get the Hooker Super Comps, headers and side pipes for: Black - about 700$ Chrome about 1100$ I think i'm going to get the Black for the "Black Goddess"
