Hello folks. I just got the headers on my 76. I was gonna go with true dual exhaust but, in the meantime. I was wondering what the yaa's or naa's were on putting the original exhaust with the Y pipe matched into the Headers. Will I be killing all I have done with adding the headers or will I be OK until I can afford the SS true dual exhaust pipe system to the Flow Master Mufflers.

You'll be OK until you can get the dual set-up on. It's gonna kill some of the horsies you freed up with the header install, but it's not gonna keep it from runnin! It should run a little better, but the complete duals will wake it up in the end.
btw.....your car looks like it could be a twin to mine!(except for the year)

Hey Joel, that is a great look a like there! Love that color!!! I appreciate the input on the exhaust question. I also spoke to a memchanic today that has 20 years in the racing world. He too said that It would not hurt anything but the horses. Since I am not racing myself I guess it wont bother me too much. I am gonna try and get the new exhaust on by the end of September. I am hoping to make it to the C3 Convension in Bowling Green this year.
Later!!!
Later!!!

Save your pennies for the true duals. You won't regret it.Your motor and the Flowmasters will love it. It increased my gas milage by 4-5 mpg (if I can keep my foot out of it). Terry

Thanks Terry. I have a business deal in the works that if it comes through will pay for the duals. In the mean time I am putting some money away each week to cover them. SO, eventually it will get done.
Thanks for the info on the gas mileage too. I can use that but, like you said, It all depends on if I can keep my foot out of it. LOL and that isn't that easy to do. I just love the way it came to life after I put the performer intake on it.
