I am working on getting my 1972 200hp coupe back to stock and this solenoid has me stumped. There are two connections, and despite all the books I have bought to find where to hook them up to I still have a capital ZERO for results. If anyone can give me a clue I will be eternally grateful!

I haven't seen two connectors, unless one of them is a ground. Use an ohm meter and see if the two are connected, with minimal resistance. If so, one is the hot lead ad the other is the ground.
The idle sol is used in one of two way.
1. An idle kicker to compensate for load from the A/C.
2. An antidesiel sol. This one is always on with the key on, and drops idle to prevent dieseling when shut off.
Let me know it the connections work this way, if not maybe I can find something.
