I installed a holley carb on my 1978 L48, the car runs great but the idle keeps creeping up after the car is driven for a while.  I start out at 800 rpm but after it gets warmed up good the idle goes up to 1000, could this be a fuel pressure problem, do I need a fuel pressure regulator?  Any ideas??

I'm assuming it has a electric choke. If so make sure the the fast idle screw is off the fast idle cam (located behind the choke thermostat).
If the choke is fully disengaged try "whiffing" some propane around the base of the carb and around where the intake manifold seals to the cylinder heads while the engine is running. If there is a vacuum leak the engine rpm's will rise slightly.
