Most of us do. If it doesn't work to your satisfaction, look up Carbpal.com. They recently did one up for me. It turned out FANTASTIC! They are in San Jose, California. Drilled and rebushed the cross shafts, repaired some non functioning things, flo tested it on their own car, did all the needed adjustments and sent it back. I installed it and it not only was a rebuild of a old carb, they improved the performance of the car in multiple ways. I highly suggest them if you need some assistance on your fuel delivery. I could not find ANYONE willing to do what they did. Money well spent.

My Corvette guy rebuilt mine two years ago. In Milwaukee. He did a great job also!

Vette(s): 1978 (25th Annv. Edition)Red, Black interior, 4-Speed Transmission, L-82, Power & Air, Very Rare Option Package(Only 145 Red 1978s with a 4 speed trans) & Very Original Car, with original Window Sticker, Bill of Sale and all documentaion.
I just had mine rebuilt due to the bowls leaking in the motor. My mechanic used a super gasket kit with the bowl inserts. Now it starts great (no longer have to wait to refill carb) and runs great, no more strong gasy smell. A friend of mine replaced his carb with a Edelbrock and nothing but trouble.

Here is the web link for cliff's.

I rebuilt my own carb but bought all parts from cliffs and used his book. Highly recommended. Book will help you go beyond just putting a kit in - such as re-bushing the shaft and performance mods. Runs great - I haven't done much tuning because I really didn't need to and don't want to mess it up!
Cliff's did both of mine. Could not be happier. I was put on a waiting list and told it would be up to a year. Sure enough 11 - 12 months later I got the email to send them it. Took about a month to get them back.
