Guys, I'm having a problem finding an aluminum manifold & carb combo for my 74/454. Everything I find warns me about hood clearance. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Talk to After Shark, Matt.  He works for holley and has some nice Weiand manifolds that work well.  Also some good carbs.

Here is a really old post that I made some time ago.  I would use it as a starting point so you know what type of height you can get away with.

Warbird, she is doing much better.  She can now get in and out of bed by herself, and walk a very short distance without the walker.  We can get out of the house, into the minivan, and use the electric cart at the stores and do some shopping.  Her favorite pastime.  Still can't get in and out of the bath tub by herself, and needs a shower chair.  But she is slowly getting better, and as long as she is going in the right direction, it's all good.
